About Us

Tutukaka Wild Adventure Company, formerly Bluewater Farm Park, now offers a variety of new adventure experiences the wildest of which is called the Wild Ride Dirt Track Luge. Two long tracks, each of one kilometre, zigzag their way down through native bush. The wild ride starts from a nerve-wracking high vantage point overlooking the stunning Tutukaka coastline and out to the Poor Knights Islands. But don't be distracted too long by the view. The first snaking bend is more likely to command your attention, as an attendant hands you a safety helmet and explains the rudiments of steering and braking the black four-wheeler beast that will hurtle you down the gravel luge track, the only one of its kind in the country.

Fun Activities for all Ages

Younger family members or those family members not feeling quite so daring will be occupied at the 9-hole mini-putt golf course. The course, which has to have the best view of any in the country, will be extended over the coming year to 18 holes. For all the animal lovers Tutukaka Wild Life (Zoo) still offer hours of enjoyment.

Adventurous family members can also scale a climbing wall, complete with two main climbs and an articulated section to create more difficult climbs. The holds are the most advanced on the market, sourced from a manufacturer in Christchurch. Plans are underway to add an abseiling wall from the top of the structure and a much lower bouldering wall for younger children. Climbers can hire special shoes and are provided with full harness while being belayed by experienced staff who are also climbers.

A Wild Paintball bush tag course, covering 100 x 110 metres of bush-covered hillside, offers families and friends the opportunity to 'get even' over an hour or two of 'blasting'. There's also a paintball shooting range for the younger family members to try their hand, for those who don't have a team or want to practice before heading onto the course. Targets were imported from America for the shooting range and have a resetting mechanism dependent on the good aim of the shooter, and guns which are fixed for limited movement to prevent any accidents.

The Estuary Eco Kayak Tour takes one and half hours, you need no experience, be prepared to get wet. The tour depends on High tides, this makes the paddling easy and will give you the opportunity to explore the beautiful, calm Matapouri Estuary, the history, wild life, native bush and mangroves make this a magical experience.

Great Facilities

The opening of a new café offers visitors a refuge from the mad adventures while enjoying spectacular views. A conference facility will also be offered on-site with options for school groups to stay overnight, or team-building sessions for corporate visitors.
